Reinforcement Learning C3.3 Delayed reinforcement learning
See the abstract for Chapter C3. Delayed reinforcement learning (RL) concerns the solution of stochastic optimal control problems. In this section we formulate and discuss the basics of such problems. Solution methods for delayed RL will be presented in Sections C3.4 and C3.5. In these three sections we will mainly consider problems in which C3.4, C3.5 the state and control spaces are finite se...
متن کاملForgetting in Reinforcement Learning Links Sustained Dopamine Signals to Motivation
It has been suggested that dopamine (DA) represents reward-prediction-error (RPE) defined in reinforcement learning and therefore DA responds to unpredicted but not predicted reward. However, recent studies have found DA response sustained towards predictable reward in tasks involving self-paced behavior, and suggested that this response represents a motivational signal. We have previously show...
متن کاملDelayed response learning to visual stimuli in cats.
Six normally reared cats were trained on a three-choice delayed response task to visual stimuli. All cats mastered 1 min delay, three cats 2 min delay and one cat 6 min delay. Learning was much better than in previously studied cats reared in laboratory cages. It was comparable to that known for auditory stimuli in normally reared cats.
متن کاملSmoothing-Evaluation Method in Delayed Reinforcement Learning
Another method of delayed reinforcement learning is proposed. There are two neural networks in a robot's brain, those are a evaluation network and a motion network. The evaluation network is trained so as to reduce the absolute value of the second order time derivative of the output of itself while the robot moves. The learning realize the evaluation by the necessary time until a robot gets a t...
متن کاملwillingness to communicate in the iranian context: language learning orientation and social support
why some learners are willing to communicate in english, concurrently others are not, has been an intensive investigation in l2 education. willingness to communicate (wtc) proposed as initiating to communicate while given a choice has recently played a crucial role in l2 learning. it was hypothesized that wtc would be associated with language learning orientations (llos) as well as social suppo...
